- Hi,
-
- Could you please help me with the information I need for configuring
- different types of modems.
-
- I need information on different brands of modems so I can configure a
- software program to work properly with all types of modems.
-
- Could you please tell me;
- 1. the name and model modem you use.
- 2. whether the modem supports synchronous mode.
- 3. if the modem is a synchronous modem will it default to asynchronous
- mode with an AT&F command.
- 4. if the modem defaults to synchronous mode what AT command is needed
- to place it in asynchronous mode.
- 5. finally whatever type of modem you have, what is the recommended
- initialization string to use with this modem.
-
- ps. I am having a difficult time with some modems because I do not want
- them to talk in synchronous mode. It stuffs up my program when talking
- to an asynchronous modem.
-
- Does anyone know roughly what percentage of synchronous modems are out
- there in the market place.
-
- I am gratefull for any information or advice.
-
- Thanks.
